Lynn McCary

Principal

Lynn McCary

Lynn founded Lynn McCary Events more than 25 years ago with a focus on planning and producing fundraising events for nonprofit clients in the cultural, civic and educational fields.

Prior to establishing her own business, she was an administrator in program and development at nonprofit arts organizations, including the Washington Project for the Arts, Artists Space, and Art Resources International. Lynn holds a B.S. in Graphic Design and Visual Communications from American University.

Lynn was the co-founder of Art Attack International, a nonprofit artist collective, which produced temporary site-specific public art installations and performances internationally for over twenty years. Their archives are in the collection of the Fenwick Library at George Mason University. She has also previously served as the Vice President of the board of Three Arrows Cooperative Society, a seasonal community comprised of artists, writers, musicians, philosophers and teachers in Putnam Valley, NY, and on the Board of Trustees of CEC ArtsLink, in NYC.

Lynn’s professional career in the nonprofit sector has provided a foundation for her devotion to partnering with clients to produce successful and inspiring events, many of which LME has produced annually for several years in a row.

Joanna Micek

Senior Event Manager

Joanna Micek

Joanna oversees the front-of-house and guest relations functions for all events managed by LME. She’s always searching for new event venues and vendors, and has recently expanded LME’s services to include production management of live outdoor events, such as concerts and performing arts festivals, for nonprofit clients.

Prior to joining Lynn McCary Events in 2013, Joanna was the Development Director of El Puente, a community development organization in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and a Program Associate in the Arts, Culture, and Humanities Program at the New York Community Trust. She holds an M.P.A. in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy from New York University, and a B.A. in Metropolitan Studies, also from New York University.

As a former nonprofit employee, Joanna understands the importance and challenges involved in planning and producing fundraising events. She’s dedicated to making that process as smooth as possible for all of LME’s clients.

Other Staff & Partners

LME staff brings decades of event planning, design, fundraising, and project management to each project. We retain seasoned event production professionals to manage guest check in, vendor supervision, and VIP hospitality; and work with a preferred list of established professional vendors in the fields of audio/visual production, catering, flowers and décor, photography, entertainment, VIP transportation, and graphic design.
