charity: water brings clean water and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. The 2016 charity: ball will connect each of the 400 attendees with a person on the other side of the globe, creating a completely unique guest experience and raising millions of dollars in a single night. Event: The Kenyon Review 2016 Literary Awards
Date: Thursday, November 3, 2016
Location: The Rainbow Room

The Kenyon Review Award for Literary Achievement celebrates writers for the courage of their vision, their unparalleled imagination, and for the beauty of their art. The 2016 award will be presented to Hillary Mantel at a gala benefit dinner at the iconic Rainbow Room. In addition, Andrea Wulf will receive the first James Wright Award for Nature Writing given jointly by the Review and the Nature Conservancy. The evening’s proceeds will benefit The Kenyon Review as well as scholarships to the Review’s prestigious summer programs for young writers. Event: Indoor Ag-Con Gotham Conference
Date: Wednesday, October 5, 2016
Location: The Helen Mills Theater and Event Space

Indoor Ag-Con Gotham is one of the three annual conferences (alongside Singapore and Las Vegas) geared towards the fast growing field of indoor agriculture. Taking place for the second time in New York City, Indoor Ag-Con Gotham will be an exclusive one-day event focused on the business models, technologies, growing techniques and approaches that are driving the industry forward. The agenda will consist of keynote panels from industry leaders, moderated discussion periods, book signings, and will conclude with a drinks party. Event: The Mohonk Preserve 3rd Annual NYC Benefit Gala
Date: Wednesday, September 28, 2016
Location: The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park

The Mohonk Preserve is the largest nonprofit nature preserve in New York State, with 8,000 acres of mountain ridges, forest, fields, streams and ponds. The Preserve’s Third Annual New York City Benefit Gala will raise funds for the continued maintenance and expansion of this crucial natural resource. The event will celebrate the internationally renowned climber, mountaineer, skier, and award-winning photographer-filmmaker Jimmy Chin. Lynn McCary Events is overseeing planning of the event and will co-ordinate the day-of event production.

Event: The Jerusalem Foundation 50th Anniversary Celebration
Date: Monday, September 26, 2016
Location: The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Founded in 1966, the Jerusalem Foundation works to create a better quality of life for all of the city’s residents, enhancing Jerusalem’s contribution to people of all faiths, and inspiring new generations to take part in her future. It’s 50th anniversary celebration at The Metropolitan Museum of Art will include a cocktail reception in the Great Hall, followed by remarks by the Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat, and a private viewing of the exhibition Jerusalem 1000-1400: Every People Under Heaven. Lynn McCary Events is overseeing planning of the event and will co-ordinate the day-of event production.

LME was launched in 1993 with a diverse list of clients that included literary and cultural organizations, such the Academy of American Poets, the Dia Art Foundation, and The Paris Review, and not-for-profit civic institutions like the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. We have since strategically expanded this portfolio to include private clients, and corporate and media organizations such as The Daily Beast, Tina Brown Live Media, Prada, and Van Cleef & Arpels. Our approach is grounded in creative event strategy development, meticulous timeline management, and no-detail-is-too-small “Day-of” event production.

Lynn McCaryLynn McCary, Principal

After graduating from The American University, Washington, DC (1979, B.S. in Graphic Design & Visual Communications), Lynn McCary worked extensively with cultural organizations in the United States and Europe. She was the co-founder of Art Attack International, an artist collective and not-for-profit organization that produced temporary site-specific public art installations and performances internationally for over twenty years. Lynn has also served as the Vice President of the board of Three Arrows Cooperative Society, a seasonal community comprised of artists, writers, musicians, philosophers and teachers in Putnam Valley, NY, and on the Board of Trustees of CEC ArtsLink, in NYC.

Joanna MicekJoanna Micek, Event Manager

Prior to joining Lynn McCary Events, Joanna worked as the Development Director of New Yorkers for Parks and El Puente and a Program Associate in the Arts, Culture, and Humanities Program of the New York Community Trust. She holds an M.P.A. in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy from the Wagner School of Public Service at New York University, and a B.A. in Metropolitan Studies from the College of Arts and Science at New York University. Joanna currently serves on the community advisory panel of the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund.

LME staff brings decades of event planning, design, fundraising, and project management to each project. We retain seasoned professionals to assist in the “Day Of” activities, such as guest check in, vendor supervision, and VIP hospitality; and work with a preferred list of established professional vendors in the fields of audio/visual production, catering, flowers and décor, photography, entertainment, VIP transportation, and graphic design.
