Mohonk Preserve Annual Benefit Auction
New Paltz, NY
The Mohonk Preserve's Annual Benefit Auction was held on the grounds of the Preserve's Spring Farm in the Shawangunk Mountains. Guests enjoyed a beautiful evening filled with live and silent auctions, cocktails, and dinner with proceeds benefitting the Preserve's mission of environmental protection, nature education, scientific research, and recreational enjoyment of the land.

Friends of Writers 2014 Spring Gala and Auction at The Manhattan Penthouse
The 2014 Spring Gala of the Friends of Writers raised funds for the Holden Fund for Diversity, a scholarship fund at the acclaimed MFA program at Warren Wilson College. It was a wonderful evening of readings, live music, and live auction presided over by one of New York City's most renowned auctioneers, C. Hugh Hildesley of Sotheby's.

The Academy of American Poets' 12th Annual "Poetry & the Creative Mind" Reading and Reception at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center
The Academy of American Poets celebrated its 80th anniversary with a sold-out performance and reception at the iconic Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center. The 12th annual Poetry and the Creative Mind was an extraordinary live poetry reading that brought together some of America's leading artists, scholars, and public figures with poetry lovers. This year, Billy Crudup, Tina Fey, Chip Kidd, Kevin Kline, Julianna Margulies, Drew Nieporent, Rosie Perez, Parker Posey, Esperanza Spalding, Sir Patrick Stewart, Meryl Streep, and Carrie Mae Weems read some of their favorite poems.

The Inaugural Writers Guild Initiative Benefit Gala at Espace
The Writers Guild Initiative's 2014 Spring Gala raised money for writing workshops that work with wounded veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars and their caregivers. Highlight of the night was a reading directed by Joel Coen, of a classic M*A*S*H episode with new scenes written specially for the performance by the show's creator, Larry Gelbart, performed by a star-filled cast of Eric Bogosian, Jonathan Groff, Kevin Kline, Julianna Margulies, Tim Blake Nelson, David Schwimmer, Michael Stuhlbarg and Sam Waterston.

The American Academy in Berlin Inaugural Gala Dinner at The Metropolitan Museum of Art
The American Academy in Berlin fosters greater understanding and dialogue between the people of the United States and Germany and is one of Europe's most visible and effective institutions of transatlantic dialogue. The 2013 Inaugural Gala Dinner at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City celebrated the launch of Academy's newest project, the Richard C. Holbrooke Forum for the Study of Diplomacy and Governance. The evening's program featured an interview with the Honorable Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The Norman Mailer Center 2013 Annual Gala at the The New York Public Library
Members of the international literary, cultural, business and civic communities gathered at the Main Branch of the New York Public Library to celebrate the work of the Norman Mailer Center and Writers Colony. Dr. Maya Angelou, Junot Diaz, and journalist Michael Hastings (posthumously), as well as the winners of the Center's annual high school and college student writing prizes, were recognized for their writing. The evening's guests and participants included Calvin Klein, Steven Klein, Gay Talese, Tony Bennett, Joel Grey, Coco Rocha, Stefano Tonchi, John Waters, Dylan Jones of British GQ, and Alain Bernard, CEO of the Americas, Van Cleef & Arpels.

Kenyon Review 2013 Award for Literary Achievement at The Four Seasons Restaurant
The Kenyon Review held their 2013 benefit dinner at the landmarked Four Seasons Restaurant in Manhattan. The evening brought together Kenyon College alumni and literature and poetry lovers from across the nation. Poet Carl Phillips received the 2013 Award for Literary Achievement and more than $100,000 was raised to support scholarships to the Review's prestigious summer program for young writers.
